PHI ZETA ZETA CHAPTER HISTORY

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter was chartered on April 14, 2007 in Queens, NY. Under the leadership of the founding President & current International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Dr. Stacie NC Grant, the chapter embarked on a mission to sustain an environment of inclusion, love, support and respect that enriches the personal/spiritual development of all of its members.

Holding fast to the vision of the Five Pearls and the chapter's mission statement, Phi Zeta Zeta continues to grow and meet the needs of the Queen, NY community through our national Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) Initiative and community partnerships. The chapter is proud to have partnerships and interactions with many organizations such as: The Saratoga Family Inn Homeless Shelter, March of Dimes, St. Mary's Hospital for Children, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Rho Sigma Chapter,  NAACP - Jamaica Branch & Far Rockaway Greek Council.  Since 2007, the chapter has gifted over 17 college scholarships to deserving young ladies.

The chapter also serves as the sponsoring chapter to Omicron Alpha Chapter, a metropolitan undergraduate chapter, which is comprised of St. John's University & Queens College. Omicron Alpha chapter was chartered on June 14, 1965 and has provided untotalled hours of service to those campuses and the Queens community.

Mentoring and empowering girls to become the leaders of the future is a top priority of the chapter.  To date, Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter has established three youth auxiliary groups; The Archonette Club (ages 14-18) in 2009, The Amicette Club (ages 9-13)  in 2012 and The Pearlette Club (ages 5-8) in 2013. Through participating in social, cultural and community service activities, the young ladies broaden their life experiences while embracing the ideals of scholarship & service.

Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter is the home of the 26th International President & CEO of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the current home chapter for 41 women from varying careers and educational backgrounds.
